About Our Founder -- Eric Bishop
Eric has worked with churches, helping them develop media departments that produce excellence in all manners of production. This includes training volunteers, consulting on system design and installing equipment necessary to promote efficiency and professionalism.
Getting his start as the sound engineer for his youth group at age 15, Eric has maintained a passion for multimedia production and behind-the-scenes support. He has pursued multiple avenues in this regard, including sound reinforcement, live/studio recording, concert/video/theater lighting, drama/stage directing and producing, video pre-/post-production, live video for concerts and conventions (IMAG), and more.
Previously, Eric was a technical engineer for a production company specializing in news broadcasts and satellite uplinks and downlinks, and a media director for a large church in Des Moines, Iowa.
Once Eric started making connections with churches in need of support for their multimedia systems, he discovered that most churches had great equipment but no knowledge of how to operate it. He also found poor equipment that they were forced to purchase and it wasn't adequate for future use. After seeing churches spend money in the wrong way he decided to start a business to guide churches in proper system awareness and training.
Since 2006 Zygo Sound has been caring out this mission and pairing with as many houses of worship as we can in order to better equip them in their multimedia endeavors and to aide their ministry.
